The Lewis Foundation is an independent family philanthropic fund, supporting charities that are making lasting positive impacts and building strong, resilient, inclusive communities.
Our Focus
The Lewis Foundation is focused on creating better lives for children by supporting Health, Welfare, and Education charities.
The Foundation generally makes medium to long-term financial commitments typically for 3, 5, or 10 years, to help support recipients in a meaningful way.
The Foundation aims to grow its capital base over time to enable it to perpetually reach more people in need and to generate ongoing community benefit.
The Foundation is administered by the Lewis Family. Granting priorities are reviewed annually and approved by the Directors.
How We Offer Support
Grants
We provide funding to Australian non-profit organisations that use education, training, and development to help young people become the best that they can be.
We think it’s essential that our partnerships are well-planned, have proven results, represent good value for money and are sustainable over time.
Please note: we do not accept unsolicited request for funding.
Staff Volunteering Program
With fully paid volunteer leave, Lewis Land employees donate their time and professional skills to help our charity partners pursue their important work.
Our Major Recipients
Programs & Projects
The Lewis Foundation provides extensive funding to large charitable organisations as well as to many smaller “grass root” charities operating throughout Australia.
The Pinnacle Foundation
The Matthew McCarron Rainbow Scholarship. This scholarship is a tribute to one of Australia’s most influential LGBTQIA+ corporate leaders, whose vision for inclusive excellence continues to inspire workplaces across the nation. Awarded annually through the Pinnacle Foundation with support from the Lewis Foundation, this scholarship honours Matthew’s unwavering commitment to creating environments where diversity drives innovation and every individual can thrive authentically. Matthew’s leadership demonstrated that true corporate success stems not from conformity, but from embracing the full spectrum of human talent and perspective.
Oz Harvest
The Lewis Foundation proudly supports OzHarvest’s work in combating food waste and hunger across regions where our assets are located including Port Macquarie and the Gold Coast. Oz Harvest helps deliver fresh, nutritious meals to vulnerable community members whilst addressing the environmental impact of food waste. OzHarvest’s innovative approach – rescuing surplus food from retailers, wholesalers, and producers that would otherwise go to landfill – aligns perfectly with the Lewis Foundation’s commitment to creating sustainable, positive change in Australian communities.
Kickstart for Kids
The Lewis Foundation is committed to ensuring every child has the best possible start to their educational journey through our support of Kickstart for Kids in Adelaide. This vital programme addresses one of the most fundamental barriers to learning – hunger – by providing nutritious breakfast and lunch programmes to disadvantaged children across South Australian schools.
